FAQ

Is it free?

Yes: 3 pages at a time, no account. Pro ($7/month) reads whole PDFs with no page limit.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The AI model downloads to your browser once, then all the work happens on your computer or phone. You can check: once the model is loaded, the tool keeps working with your internet turned off.

Does it work on a scanned PDF?

Yes. If the PDF already contains text, Scribo extracts it directly. If it is a scan, each page goes through OCR.

What about a photo from my phone?

Yes, if the text is sharp and well lit. Shoot straight on. Always double-check important numbers: a blurry photo causes mistakes.

Does it read handwriting?

Poorly. Tesseract is built for printed text. Handwriting will come out partial.
